Burnshield Burn Dressing is a sterile foam dressing soaked in Burnshield sterile trauma hydrogel, supplied in a foil pouch, which can be used for minor burns and scalds.
With its high water content, Burnshield Hydrogel cools and soothes by absorbing and dissipating heat which minimises skin damage. Burnshield Gel is a white to off-white gel which turns clear once applied. This allows for monitoring of wound progression.
How to apply?
1. Open the sterile package.
2. Remove Burnshield foam dressing from package.
3. Apply foam dressing over the wound.
4. Secure foam dressing with non-adherent bandage.
5. Re-apply Burnshield Hydrogel to the dressing to prevent the wound from dehydrating.
6. Seek medical attention if needed.
